Augusta Plein Air Art Event - Augusta, Missouri
As many as 100 artists from Missouri and surrounding states are expected to arrive in Historic Missouri Wine Country during the period of April 21st through May 1st for the 8th Annual Augusta Plein Air Art Event, sponsored by the Greater Augusta Chamber of Commerce. Artists will be completing their pieces in the tradition of Plein Air (outdoors), capturing the nuances of natural light in their work. The beauty and hospitality of the area has attracted an increasing number of participants each year. Many of the participating artists are shown in galleries across the state.

The annual Candlelight Christmas walk in Augusta, Missouri is an event everyone should experience. It provides holiday cheer with small town charm. It has become a tradition for many families to start their holiday season. Over 1,000 luminaries light the way through the town of Augusta, leading you from a wood shop to wineries to a small Café to antique shops and more. A free Trolley Shuttle will take you around town to help you see all the attractions. You can stop by Ebenezer United Church of Christ for Christmas caroling, hear a band at Mount Pleasant Winery, receive a chair massage at Halcyon spa, warm up at a bonfire provided by the volunteer fire department, take a Carriage Ride around the heart of town and see an original painting at Augusta Wood created specifically for the event by artist Ken Martin.
