Auto World Museum – Fulton, Missouri
Come and see the 84 vehicles which are displayed at Auto World; sitting amongst historic settings and exhibits of memorabilia reminiscent of the times the cars were new.
The museum was begun by William Backer and his daughter, Vickie Backer McDaniel to share their love and vision of the value of the car to the state of Missouri and all people. Even in their collection is a letter that Clyde Barrow (of the infamous Bonnie and Clyde era) which states, in part, that "For sustained speed and freedom Ford has every other car skinned and even if my business hasn’t been strictly legal it don’t hurt anything to tell you what a dandy car you got in the Ford V-8."
Auto World is an 18,000 square foot facility which houses the foundations collection.
In addition to vintage cars, Auto World contains exhibits collections of memorabilia and attractions depicting the history surrounding the automobile, in Missouri.
