Kansas City Ballet presents three repertory performances each year that pays homage to established masters of ballet while reaching out to explore contemporary works by emerging choreographers. Kansas City Ballet is one of the few ballet companies of mid-sized cities that has the ability to cover the classics with aplomb while challenging audiences with newer works.

Kansas City Ballet’s repertory season includes 15 performances (five each season) with fall, winter and spring seasons at the Lyric Theatre. A choreographic workshop titled, In The Wings, is performed in Kansas City Ballet studios each March and gives audiences an up close view of the company and the choreographic process at work. The company presents The Nutcracker at the Music Hall throughout the month of December.

Kansas City Ballet School classes are available to students of all ages, whether aspiring toward a professional career or dancing for enjoyment. We offer a summer intensive program in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, as well as a summer program in Prairie Village, Kansas.
