Louisiana Area Historical Museum – Louisiana, Missouri re-opened in May of 2006 after renovation to upgrade the facility.
The museum has a display of artifacts donated by people that wanted to assure the history of the area was retained in a quality manner. There are also portraits, and memorabilia for you to see.
The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The museum contains books, magazines, antique photos, vintage clothing, century-old artifacts as well as displays of the famous Stark Brothers Nursery founded in 1816, and at one time the largest mail-order nursery company in the world. The Hercules Room displays true-to-life models of the famous Hercules company’s plant located in Louisiana.

Hours: Monday through Fridays 1 – 4 p.m. and Saturdays 10:00 – 1:00, May through October.
