Springfest – Owensville, MO is held the middle of April each year.
The Springfest, a celebration of Spring, involves the schools and the entire community. The first 3-day festival was held in 1987 and was dedicated to the memory of Dr. Paul C. Baker (1934-1986) a local physician and community leader who was instrumental in the origination of the Tulip Festival (original name). The Springfest Committee schedules the activities of the festival and oversees the planting of tulip beds throughout the city. A Springfest Queen is crowned, Maypoles are wound and community organizations provide a busy schedule of activities.
