Apple Butter Festival – Kimmswick, Missouri

Apple Butter Festival.jpgApple Butter Festival – Kimmswick, Missouri This 2 day festival begins at 10 AM and runs until 5 PM both days. Try this wonderful delight at the Apple Butter Festival!

This is the largest celebration Kimmswick has annually. There are close to 100,000 people that attend this event. Since it is so large there is no vehicle traffic allowed these two days. Vehicles are to park at the Windsor School and catch a bus into town. The busses will run throughout the day shuttling visitors to-and-from the parking area at Windsor School. Parking will also be available off of Highway K and is just a short walking distance into town. There will be no shuttles running on this route.

The Kimmswick Historical Society will again be making and selling their famous Apple Butter at the Apple Butter Pavillion on Market Street.

100’s of vendor booths will fill the city park and line the streets of Kimmswick selling a variety of crafts and food items. live entertainment will also be provided by the city of Kimmswick and the Kimmswick Merchants.

This is quite an undertaking for a community of 94 people, 35 households, and 24 families residing in the city as of the 2000 census. Not only do they have the Apple Butter Festival but they also have the Strawberry Festival and other activities that even a larger community would envy! Come and see how this small town rolls out the red carpet and entertainment for eveyone to enjoy.
