Cameron Cave – Hannibal, Missouri
The newest show cave in Missouri offer you a truly exciting underground experience. You will see this cave in nearly the same condition as when it was first discovered. That isn’t the case with many caves you can tour, they are upgraded for the comfort and ease of the tourists but this one is truly in very nice original condition. Of course, there are changes that were made to meet the Missouri State Safety regulation for show caves but that’s about it.
The tour is guided by lantern and takes you through the maze of complex caving for approximately 1 1/2 hours. Not only will the guides carry the laterns but so will some of you that are on the tour.
Visit both the Mark Twain Cave and the Cameron Cave and truly experience the past and how beautiful these places are.

I have a 4 1/2 year old son…is the Cameron Cave tour appropriate for him? We have toured Mark Twain’s Cave twice and he loved it. Please advise.
Thanks!
Laura Schmidt
Hi Laura,
I called the cave representative and asked about your son touring the cave, she told me that her 5 year old grandson has toured it frequently and loves it. The only real difference for the tour is that the Cameron Cave is a lantern tour, no electricity.
She could see no reason why it shouldn’t be enjoyable for the whole family (just please keep him away from the formations since touching them does stop the growth and damages them forever.)
Thank you for contacting http://www.missouribeautiful.com with your question. It was our pleasure to be able answer your inquiry.
