I have a print of a painting that was done for the 1776-1976 bicentennial. The artist is Ann Smith Hogue. On the back of the framed picture is an article about the picture which is called the Anerican Dream. It was signed by George W Manning, President, The Gentry County Historical Society, Inc.

I have not been able to find out any information online about the artwork.
I am curious if the Gentry County Historical Society commissioned the work, how many prints were done, any history on the artist, etc. I would appreciate any available information regarding the picture.

I greatly appreciate any effort that is made to answer these questions. I live in the Kansas City area and was pleased to learn the painting involved “Missourians”.

    Thank you very much

I would like to ask how to get a sign made to mark the Kurtright-Hardin Cemetary in Albany off Sandvil Road (?) I think it’s called or the same road Benny Rainey lives on, route 3. I wanted to see if a sign could be placed there to identify the Kurtright-Hardin Cemetary. At least placed at the corner of the property so people could see it from the road since it is off the road off some elses property. And if you didn’t have any hand in that if you could help to find out who I could get a hold of. Some of Ralph Kurtrights’ relatives still go out to that grave site every year. Please contact me, Jill Althouse at 913-209-2526 or mail to: Jill Althouse, 1407 E Haven Ln, Olathe, KS 66062. Alt# 913-782-8042 for Rhonda Moffatt.

I would love to get this done, a sign to identify this cemetary since it is off the road.

    Thank you!
