World’s Largest Pecan - Brunswick, Missouri

's Largest Pecan.jpgWorld’s Largest Pecan - Brunswick, Missouri The World’s Largest Pecan is located on U.S. Hwy. 24, 3 miles east of Brunswick, MO, was built by James Pecan Farms Inc. as a replica of their patented Starking Hardy Giant pecan, a large thing-shell variety discovered by George James in 1955.

The concrete replica is 7 feet diameter X 12 feet long, and weighs about 12,000 pounds. The James Farms boast a total of 10,000 pecan trees. Brunswick, located on the Missouri River is the finest pecan-growing region in the state.

Come for the Brunswick Pecan Festival is held every October.

The World’s Largest Pecan is also claimed by Seguin, TX but the measurements of the one in Brunswick makes it the largest (at least it still is).
