Coterie Theatre – Kansas City, Missouri Named as the winner of the 2004 Missouri Arts Award. Coterie Theatre is listed as one of the 5 best theaters for young audiences by Time Magazine. The mission of the theater is to open the lines of communication between sexes, races and generations. The theater is one of the best for youth, but adults will certainly enjoy the experience too.
Many of the plays presented by the theater were developed at the Kennedy Center’s New Vision/New Voices new play festival and at NYU’s Educational Theatre Program at Provincetown Playhouse. This renowned support from top quality associations with these two entities is a tribute to the quality of work the Colerie Theatre presents to the residence of Kansas City.
